World Challenge is all about education through exploration

World Challenge Expeditions (WCE) develops skills through service learning programs culminating in a team expedition overseas. WCE works with middle schools, high schools, colleges, individuals and groups, to ensure each participant benefits from a wide range of leadership and personal skills development, community service opportunities and off the beaten path exploration.

WCE's programs promote self discovery and a better understanding of the world. Students participate actively at every stage of the program, from planning phases to the expedition itself.

World Challenge’s programs focus on service, cultural exchange and adventure travel.

Challenge
Throughout the program, students operate in new environments and become acquainted with local cultures. They develop skills by facing challenges ranging from:

• Orchestrating the community service project
• Trekking through mountain passes
• Managing the team budget

Participation
Working as a team, students have responsibility for their expedition, setting and meeting team objectives and learning to become confident decision makers.

Awareness
Students gain understanding through participating in other cultures while developing a broader global perspective and a sense of their relative good fortune.  Students become environmentally aware by exploring diverse landscapes and traveling off the beaten path.

Students who participate in a World Challenge expedition embark on an amazing journey of self-discovery. The life skills they learn not only aid personal growth, but help secure college placement and impress future employers.
